Our Mission

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a range of cost-effective services designed to protect the lives and property of Walla Walla County Fire Protection District No. 1, No. 3, and No. 7 from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature and to promote a positive image in the community towards the department.

STRATEGIC STATEMENT

Strategically, Walla Walla North County Fire District is to provide the best quality fire, emergency medical, and disaster response and fire prevention services to the citizens of our communities, at the most reasonable cost possible, without compromising creativity, innovation, growth, and stability.

 

FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS

 

Our fundamental beliefs and values which guide this District in fulfilling our mission are:

 

            Prevention of dangerous conditions through education, legal mandates, and

            community awareness.

 

            Protection of life and property by providing a trained force of people        

            ready, willing, and committed to protect the community, and equipping them

            with the resources to do the job.

 

            Commitment to the well being of the community, and the quality of life enjoyed

            by its citizens with cooperation with community members and other agencies

            in the rendering of services to the community.

 

            Innovation to recognize the ever-changing role of the fire service such as dealing

            with hazardous materials, multi-casualty incidents, and natural disasters and be

            able to adapt to these challenges through training and education.
